Two groups one with five teams playing a round-robin and one with four teams playing a round-robin. Teams ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd-placed in group 1, and team ranked 1st and 2nd in group 2 advance to Main Round Group A (round-robin), while teams ranked 4th and 5th in group 1, and 3th and 4th in group 2 advance to Main Round Group B (round-robin). The top two teams in Main Round Group A advance to the A Final, and the top two teams in Main Round Group B advance to the B Final.
